Vladimir Gudac was born in 1951 in Opatija, Croatia. He was head of the Studentski Centar Gallery from 1980 until 1990. Together with Dubravko Budic, he was a founding member of the activist group Tok (1972–1973). He is active in interdisciplinary research of the media through photography, video, installation and performance. He is also an art critic. He lives and works in Opatija, Croatia.
