Tijana Petrović was born in 1997 in Moscow, Russia. She is student the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade at the New Media department. In her earlier works she used video, and newer works are created in photography, mixes media, performance etc. Topics prevalent in Tijana's works are the contemporary exposure to various materials on the Internet, question of identity and showing certain censored truths. In the work „Pejzaži“ (Landscapes) she sets six photographs showing a regular landscape, and after reading the artist's statement, the viewer finds that these are crimes scenes and people died there. “Eksplicitni činovi” (Explicit Acts) is a video-work, aontage of non-explicit scene segments taken from typical and recognizable conventional commercial pornographic videos. In the works, the leaves out “the main thing”, what the scene are the introduction for. The viewer is put into the state of waiting, and then displeasure as there is no culmination of the narrative with the explicit sexual scenes.
