The core group is represented by the artists Vyacheslav Mizin and Alexander Shaburov.
Vyacheslav Mizin was born in 1962 in Novosibirsk (Russia). He graduated from the Institute of Architecture in Novosibirsk. Alexander Shaburov was born in 1965 in Sverdlovsk (now Ekaterinburg), where he graduated from the Art School.
Since the late 1980s and through the 1990s, their artistic careers developed individually. The group Blue Noses was formed in 1999, on the eve of New year 2000. Some of their projects benefit from the participa- tion of other artists, such as Konstantin Skotnikov, Dmitry Bulnygin, Maxim Zonov and Evgeny Ivanov. The Blue Noses participated in numerous exhibi- tions in Russia and abroad, including the first three Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, as well as the 50th and 51th Venice Biennales.
