Miloš Šejn was born in1947 in Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic. Šejn graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University in Prague in 1975 with a degree in Art History and Visual Art, and achieved his doctorate degree in 1976. He worked as a university professor and a director of Intermedia Department at the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague.

Šejn works in the fields of visual art, performance and study of visual perception. He consciously works in the areas of expressive language among text, visual stroke, body movement, voice, and expansion into space. He lives and works in Jičin, Czech Republic.
